Azimuth is the angle formed by a direction (for example the one that joins a star or an object to the observer) with another fixed direction that is taken as the origin, measured above the horizon. Conventionally, it is measured clockwise or hourly and in sexagesimal degrees (in astronomy and navigation) or centesimal degrees (in topography and geodesy). The origin is generally taken to be the south (in astronomy) or the north (in navigation, topography and geodesy).
Between temperate and subtropical climate
Mediterranean climate has high temperatures in summer and mild temperatures in Winter, making it ideal for winemaking.
Mediteranean diet
“Cum aqua flores nascent cum vinum verba florent.” The basis of this diet is the proportional consumption of vegetables, legumes and fruits.
Wine has been part of Catalan culture, our traditions and our landscape for more than 2,300 years.
The Greeks introduced the vine through the Empordà.
The Roman Empire cultivated vines throughout Catalonia.
During the Medieval period, vines were only grown in the Monasteries.
In the 18th century it was exported to Europe and especially America (brandy).
In 1865, phylloxera broke out and wiped out all the vineyards in less than 30 years.
The 20th century begins sadly and takes off with cava and quality wines.
